Mybench Making Course
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and who enquired about our new Mybench making course at the recent Illawarra Festival of Wood. Read the peer review of Mybench by esteemed Australian furniture maker Darren Oates and discover the features that make mybench a great choice for woodworkers. Or here for booking enquiries as this course is run on demand with a minimum of two and a maximum of three participants.
"At the heart of every woodworker’s practice is a good bench. When I signed up to the 3 day bench course with #heartwood_creative_woodworking, my goal was to bring home a bench. Not only did I achieve that, but I learnt so much more. The design of a bench is critical. Heartwood’s bench has been designed by a woodworker for a woodworker. I learnt more about design in this course than anything I have made to date - not only the need for a flat surface, but also the need to account for different holding methods. I also learnt about the importance of the joinery that keeps the bench straight and true. The use of Heartwood’s state of the art machinery and Stuart’s close instruction gave me so much more confidence when using tools and a better understanding of different joinery that I have not used before. Best of all, I have a bench that fits into my limited space at home but which will allow me to continue to learn the skills of woodworking. Thankyou so much Heartwood Creative Woodworking.
